Summer is Here. Summer has come to Rob Roy including showers. As the month goes on, all the summer flowers will come into bloom. Take your time as you walk our beautiful complex and bring plenty of water. Drivers please slow down in case that someone is so awed by the beauty they aren't looking both ways as they walk around.

BOCCE BALL

Bocce League News:The Bocce League has started play with some hard fought contests. Both new and experienced players are giving it their all. Games are regularly played on Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 10 AM and 4 PM. All residents are welcome to watch the matches and cheer for their favorite teams.

BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP

The Rob Roy Book Discussion Group will meet on Friday, July 2, at 1 p.m. for our annual summer meeting at the Clubhouse pool. (In case of inclement weather, the discussion will be held inside the Clubhouse.) There will be a general discussion of PLAYING FOR PIZZA by John Grisham. In August, at our usual 7 p.m. summer time, we will discuss STILL WATERS by Jennifer Lauck. All are welcome to attend, even if you haven’t read the scheduled book!

CARD GAMES

Come join us on Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Clubhouse. In July we will be meeting on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. Currently, we are playing PINOCHLE and THREE-THIRTEEN (a new game that is fun and easy to learn). If you have any questions, see the Newsletter for contact information.

CHAIR DANCING: We'll be closing down chair dancing for the summer. We'll resume again in the fall, about mid September. Watch for the notice in the September newsletter.

COMPUTER CLUB

The Computer Club will meet on Tuesday, July 13, between 1 - 3 PM in the Clubhouse. This month's topic is FREE STUFF AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET. Not surprisingly, the Internet is the best place to find free stuff, particularly software for your computer. Learn all about the freebies that the Internet has to offer. FOR ALL COMPUTER NEWBIES: Bring your questions to our Open Forum after our main topic. We're open to your concerns, with information to help you! All Rob Roy residents are welcome to attend any meeting of interest. For notes from our meetings, check out

KOFFEE KLATCH

The July dates for Koffee Klatch are on Thursdays, the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th at 10:00 A.M. in the Clubhouse. Meet your neighbors, our new hosts and enjoy coffee and treats served by your volunteer hosts of the day. This is an ideal way to learn about Rob Roy and the activities that are being offered.

PEGGY'S DANCE/EXERCISE

Peggy's Dance/Exercise meets on Monday every week at 8:30 to 9:30 AM. This is a great way to loosen up those stiff joints and lose a few pounds. See the Newsletter for details.

LINE DANCING will began again in September with sessions twice a month on Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Clubhouse. Check the Newsletter for details on the season.

Ones is a group of single ladies from Rob Roy who meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every month for dining and conversation. The Ones will meet on Wednesday, July 14th at 11:30 AM. PLEASE NOTE THE NEW TIME! Reservations are required, please check the Newsletter for information.

POOLS

Summer Pool Season is here.... If you do not have a 2009-2010 sticker on your pool pass which was distributed last year, be sure to stop in at the office and have one attached to your pool pass. Remember... no sticker, no pool, no exceptions! If you don't have a pool pass, make an appointment to get your pass. Appointments are taken for Tuesdays between 5 and 6 p.m. See you at the pools!!!!

QUILTERS AND NEEDLECRAFT

The Rob Roy Quilting/Needlecraft Group will meet on Tuesday, July 6th at 1 PM in the Clubhouse. Our group has expanded to include needlework of all kinds, including knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, needlepoint, etc. Bring your current needlecraft project and join us!

FOR ALL TENNIS PLAYERS: THE CLUBHOUSE COURTS HAVE BEEN RESURFACED AND ARE READY TO GO! The Ladies Tennis schedule is every Wednesday and Saturday at the Cabana Courts at 9 AM. Mixed tennis is every Saturday at the Clubhouse Courts at 7:30 AM. Check the May Newsletter for details.

TEXAS HOLD'EM - you've seen it become one of the most popular shows on TV. Come join us, meet new people and have some fun on the first and third Mondays of the month at 7:00 p.m. If you don't know how to play, we will teach you. The July sessions will be on the 5th and 19th at 7:00 p.m. in the Clubhouse, so bring your best "Poker Face" and maybe Lady Luck will bring you a good hand.
